CASTING PROCESS IN THE
plaster form
Due to the size of our pots, they are manufactured using the so-called casting process. The liquid "porcelain slip" is poured into a plaster mold that consists of two or more parts.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE
wall thickness
As soon as the plaster mold is filled, it begins to extract water from the slip. In this way, the wall thickness of the pot builds up automatically. The desired thickness of the can wall is reached after just a few minutes. Now the remaining slip is poured out again. This is done in a manual or semi-automatic process.
THE PHASES OF
drying
The mold can then be opened and the product removed. This is followed by the drying phase, the first glow firing, the glaze with the glaze firing and, as the last step, the decoration of the carafe.
